Welcome to CodeTikki. These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") govern your access to and use of the CodeTikki platform, including our website, online IDE, coding problems, quizzes, assessments, job board, recruitment tools, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account, browsing the platform, submitting code, taking quizzes, applying for jobs, or using any other feature of CodeTikki, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an educational institution or company, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on CodeTikki. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. User Accounts

To access most features of CodeTikki, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (email and password) and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Keep your password secure and not share it with anyone.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or manipulate rankings.
  • Not transfer, sell, or assign your account to another person.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or compromise the integrity of our platform.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use CodeTikki only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Submit code that contains malware, viruses, or harmful scripts through the online IDE.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the platform without authorization.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, code submissions, or personal information.
  • Cheat in coding assessments, quizzes, or competitive battles by using external assistance, copying solutions, or colluding with other users.
  • Post job listings that are fraudulent, discriminatory, or violate applicable labor laws.
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate other users of the platform.
  • Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
  • Use the Service to conduct any illegal activity or violate any local, state, national, or international law.

Violations of these acceptable use guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, permanent ban, and where appropriate, legal action.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Platform Content

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, coding problems, quiz questions, user interface, and software, is the property of CodeTikki or its content suppliers and is protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, republish, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

4.2 User Submissions

You retain ownership of the code you submit through the online IDE and coding problems. By submitting code on CodeTikki, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, and display your submissions as part of the Service (e.g., to show your submission history, evaluate correctness, and display solutions in competitive contexts). Your coding submissions may be visible to authorized instructors if your account is associated with an educational institution.

4.3 Resumes and Job Applications

When you upload a resume or apply for a job through CodeTikki, you represent that the information in your resume is accurate and that you have the right to share it. You grant us permission to store your resume securely, process it with AI for skill extraction and match scoring, and share it with the recruiting company as part of your application.

5. Coding Assessments & Integrity

CodeTikki is used by educational institutions and companies to conduct coding assessments and evaluate candidates. When participating in an assessment, you agree to complete it independently without external assistance unless explicitly permitted. We employ automated plagiarism detection, code similarity analysis, and behavioral monitoring to identify cheating. If cheating is detected, we may invalidate your results, notify the assessing institution or company, and suspend or terminate your account.

6. Recruitment Services

CodeTikki provides recruitment tools for companies and talent hunters. Companies posting jobs are responsible for the accuracy of their job listings and for complying with all applicable labor and employment laws. We do not guarantee that you will be hired through our platform, and we are not a party to any employment relationship between users and recruiting companies. Premium features (promoted listings, contact detail access) are subject to additional fees and terms.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that coding problems will always have correct test cases. We do not warrant that the results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. AI-generated feedback, code reviews, and match scores are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for hiring or evaluation decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CodeTikki and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred rupees (₹100) if you have not made any payment.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Account Deletion tool in our Privacy Policy page. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason including inactivity, fraud, or legal requirements. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. All provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitation of liability.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
